July 3rd party reminder
So, I seem to have fallen entirely off the Internet. Looking back at my years of posting, this probably isn't bad. I tend to only 'tube much when I'm bored, sad or lonely. None of which I am now, or have any plans to be. But I am having a party July 3. If I know you, you're invited. It'll start around 5, or whenever people show up, and it will run until the fireworks (around dark) and maybe for a while afterwards. There will be Grilled Thing (RSVP if you can, so I know how much thing to grill), there will be beer (no need to RSVP for this, there will be enough, I go a little overboard on hobbies sometimes), there will be a Leslie (that you can't have!), and there will be a Reverse Registry. What's this, you say? A what? A Leslie. She's neat. Not that? The other thing? Ah. Yes. Well, we're getting married in a couple fortnights, and we have enough stuff that we're not asking for things, we're giving things away. L and I...disagree...on the social merits of both garage sales and accumulated clutter, this being our compromise. Much like a traditional registry, you don't need to take a colander or a well-used pan off the table by the door, but it would be gauche not to at least walk off with a well traveled knickknack or a wooden spork. weekend update
Cleaned the house, did some laundry, sorted some files, played some video games, got engaged, had lunch with Chuck&Kathleen, killed the end boss in Curse of the Crimson Throne, watched Labyrinth.
